Step 1 – Confirm your “catchment” area

Use the “School Locator” to confirm which school’s catchment area your home is in.  Click this link for quick access.

** If you reside out of the catchment area, please fill out and include the “out-of-attendance” form (link here) with your registration package.  Note: sending in this registration does NOT confirm registration and applicants MUST still apply at their catchment school.

Step 2 – Fill out all appropriate registration forms

Registration forms can be accessed at the School District #79 website.  Click this link for quick access.

At this site you will find:

  • Registration Forms
  • Student Health Information Forms
  • Bus Registration Forms

** You can also access an on-line fill-able registration form at the School District website – Click this link for quick access.  This registration gets automatically sent to the school but you will still be required to fill out the supplementary forms.

Tansor Elementary also has some school specific forms that need to be filled out.  They are:

Step 3 – Bring registration forms to the school (physically or electronically) with:

  • Original proof of child’s age (i.e. Birth Certificate, Passport, Certificate of Citizenship, Immigration Canada documentation, Permanent Resident Card, INAC Status Card); AND
  • Proof of residence (i.e. Driver’s license, utility bill, home purchase/rental agreement)
